For information on becoming a volunteer with the Midland Rape Crisis and Children’s Advocacy Center, please contact Annabel Aguilar, our Marketing and Volunteer Coordinator, at (432) 682-7273 or send an email.
Please consider helping us in one or more of the following areas.
Level 1
Administrative Support
- Requires approximately 1 hour of training
- No direct client contact
- All volunteer opportunities at this level are during business hours (M-Thurs, 8:00AM – 5:00PM and Friday 8:30AM-12:00PM)
- Tasks may include filing, cleaning toys, organizing, and folding Educational hand-outs
Level 2
Children’s Advocacy Center Advocates/Family greeters
- Requires approximately 6 hours of training
- Must be at least 18-years-old
- All volunteer opportunities at this level are during business hours (M-Thurs, 8:00AM-5:00PM and Friday 8:30AM-12:00PM)
- Tasks include greeting children and/or their caregivers when they come for an interview, sitting with clients as they wait for an interview, court accompaniment (sitting with clients in witness room while court is in session), and helping with events during the year
- Some CAC volunteers have therapy dogs. Therapy dogs must at least 1-year-old, pass basic obedience, and be certified through Therapy Dogs International (TDI)
Level 3
Rape Crisis/Hospital-Hotline Advocates
- Requires 40 hour of training the first year and 6 continuing education hours each year after
- Must be at least 18-years-old
- Most volunteer opportunities at this level are outside of business hours (M-F, 5:00PM – 8:00AM, as well as weekends and holidays)
- Tasks include hospital accompaniment to Midland Memorial Hospital for SANE exams, court accompaniment, answering hotline phone calls after hours, and helping with CAC emergency interviews
Women of Courage
Women of Courage serve as ambassadors for children victimized by abuse through increasing community awareness, promoting prevention, and financially strengthening the coordinated efforts of the Midland Rape Crisis and Children’s Advocacy Center.

• Invitation to the annual Women of Courage Luncheon and other events throughout the year

• Follow the Midland Rape Crisis and Children’s Advocacy Center on social media to stay up to date on their latest work
Membership Levels
Membership dues are paid on an annual basis directly to the Midland Rape Crisis and Children’s Advocacy Center (MRCCAC).

- Half table (4) at Women of Courage – Midland Annual Luncheon with the option to purchase the other half of your table for $200
