Blue the Basin

Blue the Basin is the Midland Rape Crisis and Children’s Advocacy Center’s annual child abuse awareness event, dedicated to educating our community and celebrating the strength of local children and families. Each year, we gather to read the City of Midland’s official proclamation for Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month and host a vibrant resource fair featuring local organizations and resources and interactive activities.

Guests can enjoy music, fun giveaways, and free admission to the children’s museum and planetarium. The event also includes our annual coloring contest awards ceremony and engaging child abuse prevention presentations designed to empower both kids and caregivers.

Blue the Basin is a family-friendly celebration with a powerful message: protecting our children is a community effort. Join us as we stand together to raise awareness and build a safer community for all children.
